Description
Similar to the regular 15° coil nail but the plastic collation ensures that wire fragments are not ejected when firing, resulting in improved safety. Heat treatment is applied to each nail to strengthen and ensure the ability to shoot through thin steel with ease, up to 3mm depending on the length. Ideal for fastening timber to steel framing. Electro gal coating provides protection against corrosion.
The ballistic-shaped point is able to pierce materials such as steel, in a uniform manner, unlike a typical nail or screw which instead tears or drills through the material. When driven into the material properly, the ballistic point coupled with the helix pattern on the shank of the nail creates a considerable compressive force on the shank within the material itself. While high amounts of friction force ensure that the nail stays put, prohibiting withdrawal from the material.
APPLICATIONS: Bracing, Brackets, Flooring, Cladding, Steel to Timber fastening, Fencing pickets to steel frame fastening including high tensile steel frames.
